Privacy policy
This policy explains how Mecarya processes personal data collected through mecarya.com.
1. Data processed
Depending on how the store is used, we may process contact details, shipping and billing addresses, telephone number, order information, limited payment information in the form of transaction confirmations, customer-service messages, connection data, IP address, device information and cookie preferences.
2. Purposes and legal bases
- Processing orders, payments, delivery, returns and after-sales service: performance of the contract.
- Preventing fraud and securing the store: legitimate interests and legal obligations.
- Meeting accounting, tax and regulatory obligations: legal obligation.
- Sending marketing communications where consent is required: consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.
3. Recipients
Strictly necessary data may be sent to Shopify, payment providers, carriers, suppliers preparing or dispatching an order and technical providers working for Mecarya. Data is not sold.
4. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When this occurs, the transfer must rely on a mechanism recognised by applicable law.
5. Retention
Order and invoicing data is retained for legally required periods, which may be up to ten years. Customer-service requests are retained as long as necessary to process them and defend legal rights. Marketing data is deleted or anonymised no later than three years after the last active contact, unless another obligation or renewed consent applies.
6. Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies enable the cart, payment and security to work. Non-essential trackers must only be set after consent where required. Preferences can be changed through the cookie-management tool when displayed.
7. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection where those rights apply. You may withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
